I'm Victoria Williams, the Founder of Workout Buddie, LLC. After years of riding the weight loss roller coaster ride, I slowly recognized the importance of mindset while on this journey. The concept of Workout Buddie is to provide women who are intimidated by exercise and living a healthier lifestyle with the support, guidance, and accountability that only a good friend would give; it's also what is required to reach their fitness/wellness goals AND sustain them.
My Story
I lived a moderately active lifestyle growing up in the mountains of Western North Carolina, participating in sports until I graduated from high school. Once I started school at NC State, my lifestyle became more sedentary and my diet was whatever I had a taste for, even all the fast food I wanted...and that's where my ride on "the rollercoaster" began.

After several ups and downs, along with a health scare of being "pre-diabetic", I started on my journey to seek the quickest and easiest tips and tricks to lose weight. Over the next 15 years, I'd try Slim Fast, OMAD (one meal a day), Tae Bo, colonics, water pills, fat burners, no carb diets, no fat diets, no sugar diets, squat challenges, push-up challenges, step challenges, and finally, a 6-week 500-calorie per day diet that included hormone injections to drop a quick 30lbs before my wedding day. They all worked, but I would regain the weight in between each time, and deep down I knew that none of these were good for me in the long run. I continued on this road from Raleigh to Greensboro.
2012 was the year that I fell in love with fitness. I was the most consistent and fit I had ever been in my adult life. I actually began looking forward to working out and there were no excuses that would keep me from the gym! After gaining 60lbs during my pregnancy in 2015, losing the weight, then gaining 23lbs during my cancer treatment in 2021 and losing again, I learned the most important lessons of grace, self-discipline, and mindset change that I so passionately want to help other women to incorporate into their efforts to change their lifestyles for the healthier.
